Multiplied (Empat Empat)

chalkboard1.png

O the goodness that’s multiplied
By those whose lips are not swimming
In the cups of scarlet-squeezed lies,
With such bitter sorrows brimming.

The names of Yahweh and His saints—
O the goodness that’s multiplied—
Drowns out every last complaint
With His mercy spanning each side.

Fool’s mirth waxes, wanes like the tide;
They can never lie down secure.
O the goodness that’s multiplied
For those whose source of joy is pure!

My own cup is never empty:
Full of rich wine I am supplied;
The lines have fallen well for me:
O the goodness that’s multiplied!
