Book IV (Psalms 90-106), Round 2
Psalm 90: As much greater as Your days are to ours, so much greater is Your holy mercy than our wickedness.
Psalm 91: The One who trusted God had access to 12 angel legions; still He suffered so we could be satisfied by His salvation.
Psalm 92: I can’t think of anything more worthwhile to do than praise God for the countless ways He is good to me.
Psalm 93: Yahweh is wrapped in garments of majesty and strength like kingly robes.
Psalm 93: I saw Yahweh, high and lifted up, robed in majesty and strength, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
Psalm 94: Is the Ear-Maker deaf or the Eye-Maker blind? Is Truth ignorant? No evil escapes Him; He will avenge in His jealousy.
Psalm 95: Spirit-given joy, awe, and humility are the remedy and replacement for grumbling, arrogant disbelief.
Psalm 96: Worship “résumés”: idols [empty]. Yahweh: splendor, majesty, strength, beauty. Experience: created heavens and earth.
Psalm 97: The declaration of Yahweh: I will be a wall of fire around… and I will be the glory within… (Zech. 2:5).
Psalm 97: “For our God is a consuming fire” (Hb 12:29 @HCSB). He is both ours and a consuming fire.
Psalm 98: We will never run out of material for new songs about God’s greatness. Never. So get to it! Sing! Play! Join in!
Psalm 99: King Yahweh’s throneroom is the true Holy of Holies: the place where perfect righteousness and mercy meet.
Psalm 100: Being Yahweh’s servant is a joy and delight, not drudgery. Sing while you serve!
Psalm 100: For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden… #1john53
Psalm 100: …because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory…: our faith. #1john54
Psalm 101: Waiting for Yahweh isn’t laziness. It’s faith-full repentance and holy living.
Psalm 102: The eternal God became flesh to bear our suffering away, so we may enter unhindered into His eternal Triune love.
Psalm 103: Remembering Yahweh’s forgetfulness of our sins reminds us to forget despair and delight in His love.
Psalm 103: Though we are dusty Ruths, Yahweh gladly buys us from Sheol as our redeeming Boaz.
Psalm 104: Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth. Give us this day our daily bread, just as You do for all Creation.
Psalm 104: The world is Yahweh’s gardens and wildlife sanctuary; He delights in all He has made. To share it with us is grace.
Psalm 104: “Lazy” flowers and “prodigal” birds are known and lavishly cared for; my King Yahweh will care no less for me.
Psalm 105: However mysterious the ways of God are, it is no mystery that the end of them all is glory, blessing, and holiness.
Psalm 105: Delight in past deliverance to persevere in present faithfulness to an ever-loving and ever-saving King.
Psalm 106: Unless the Great Moses and Great Phineas intervenes for us, we would be consumed like Dathan and Abiram.
Psalm 106: Let Your salvation come quickly, for I am hopelessly ungrateful and hateful without You!
